Data Analytics in Todays Complex World
The electronic world stores a massive amount of data and an immense amount of new data is collected daily. Sales transactions, manufacturing productivity, inspection results, medical histories, weather, website clicks, customer reviews, sports statistics, and tweets are just a few examples.
Successful organizations use this data to improve their results. Sports fans might recognize the word “analytics”. In football, more coaches “go for it” on fourth down because the analytics suggests that this is a good strategy. Analytics is also used to customize your Internet experience. TikTok uses analytics to customize the videos that are displayed for you. Similar techniques are used in manufacturing to predict productivity or machinery failure.
